Some words about 9pm Records...
......................................................................
From it´s very beginnings 9pm Records was meant to be a label for exeptional popmusic. Music with a strong personality. Music with an ambitious approach on pop-song/music proving that this does not necessarily has to end up in the omnipresent boring major-industry crap you get annoyed with every day. By the time the first drafts for the 9pm logo have been made by Mr. Bernd 24h back in 1998 (who is still in charge for the graphics/artwork of the label) it was also clear that the whole appearance of the label had to be the sum of it´s music and it´s visuals which would only work if the involved persons share the same vision of popmusic. Fortunately we found these persons and fortunately we managed to sign the right artists to keep this idea alive.
At present (April 2005) we are still convinced that this philosophy is the right one. Besides we can still afford to believe that good music is not only measured by salesfigures. Of course it helps a lot that some of the stuff we did so far is doing pretty well in terms of sold copies. We´re proud of all the records we released so far and all the artists we have or had the pleasure to work with.
The reasons why 9pm Records is around and hopefully will stay are
Martti Trillitzsch
(head of promotion/a&r)
Christian Pliefke
(a&r/chief accountant)
Bernd 24 h
(graphics/visuals)
Webdolphin
