GAFFERS -
”Imbiss Team”
It’s been quite a while since the last regular release of the Gaffers. Of course there has been their contribution to the 9pm Records ”Sub Machine Music”-compilation but here is finally their ”Burning Art” release titled ”Imbiss Team”.
The
Gaffers’ shit-hot sixtracker for 9pm’s ”Burning Art”-series marks another milestone in the bands history starting with their 1998 debut-album ”Rotor Fast Rotor Slow”. Their contribution to 9pm’s ”
Sub Machine Music” compilation already gave an idea in which direction they would possibly move.
Less electro-cluster more pop-song? Sort of… ”Imbiss Team” is offering a well-balanced blend of, let’s say,
Mum,
Guided By Voices and –
THE WHO!
Again with those little weird crackling electronic static noise bits being so typical for the latest Gaffers works. This ”Burning Art” release is as close to R.O.C.K. as the Gaffers ever got and at the same time a shifty piece of great pop music. Beattie and Murolo definitely did a great job with this one!
Mastered by Grello at Highstreet Studio/Nuernberg
Recorded at Beattie’s 24h
Drums and congas by armando murolo
All other instruments incl. Renate’s six track synth by Beattie
